In my last post I wrote a little bit about affirmations. Now I'm going to write a little bit about the other Mind Power technique that I use, which s visualization.
What I do is very simple.First I would have a goal in mind.It could be any goal that I want to acheive anywhere in my life.I then sit lie down somewhere, relax, and visualize the goal as if it's already been acheived.I do that for about 5 to 10 minutes, and I get up.That's it.
Now this might sound like I'm trying to use the law of attraction.Well, concerning the LOA, I wouldn't say that I'm a 100% believer in it.Nor can I say that I reject it.I am just not sure about it.There are alot of things that have happened to me that point to the existance of such a law.At the same time, there are many things I don't understand about it.At this point I would say that our thoughts affect our reality, but it is not as simple as "you attract what you think about".
Anyway, visuaalization can be good even if there was no "law of attraction".When you visualize your goal as clearly as you can, for a few minutes everyday, it affects your subconscious mind.I will not go into details on how, but basically your subconscious will start to give you thoughts and ideas about how to turn your goal into reality. You'll start to get thoughts that you had never thought of before. This is something I've personally tried and it works like a charm.
If you want to learn more about visualization, the internet is loaded with all kinds of websites about it.You're going to find some contradicting info here and there.Don't let that confuse you.Just relax and visaulize your goal as if it was already happen.Try not to let your thoughts drift away.Try to actually feel your goal as if it was real.Don't worry if the images aren't clear by the way. Most people do not see clear images. The technique will still work.
I personally do more affirmations than visualizations.I find them alot easier. To each his own though.
